These two cards somehow make perfect sense together. The bottom one, from PostMuse, shows a cloying Claes Oldenburg work called
Pastry Case. The top one is from a 13-year-old postcrosser in Taiwan. He writes of the highest building in Taipei (shown), "It is so grand, isn't it?" His youthful enthusiasm makes me smile. But is it the colors or the symmetry of these two cards that appeals?
NOTE: PostMuse's Orphaned Postcard project was featured on a USPS blog:
www.yourpostalblog.blogspot.com. Scroll down to August 11 for the entry. Lots to see along the way!
