Years ago I went with Lynn B to a New York performance by Sha Sha Higby. I had earlier met Higby at a kyogen performance in Kyoto but this was my first chance to see her perform. This card arrived the other day from Lynn, who is sifting through things in preparation for a move. It seems appropriate for Labor Day as Sha Sha puts a great deal of labor into her ever-evolving costumes, which she makes all herself.
