A Shanghai postcrosser sent this lovely card showing vernacular architecture in Anhui province. I wonder if this style of building, from the 20th-century, is flourishing or disappearing. The character over the door says 'spring' so perhaps the trees in the photo have now blossomed and come into leaf.
