Yesterday in New York while waiting for a bus at 8th and 23rd, I had plenty of time to look at the water tanks atop the buildings opposite. I've been in and out of NY since I was a baby, and water tanks, a feature of NY buildings, have fascinated me since I've been old enough to notice them. I picked up this postcard, which shows the only water tower now being used in Nevada, at SCRAP on a June visit to San Francisco. The card shouted, "NYC!"
