The same mail that brought the card below brought this from TUBFRIM, the humanitarian organization run by the Norwegian Health Association. Founded in 1928, TUBFRIM collects used postage stamps for sale to wholesalers and collectors worldwide. Funds raised from the sales are used to improve health care facilities for handicapped children and youth. The organization was originally founded to finance tuberculosis research and to aid children with TB. With the near-eradication of TB, its focus shifted. All stamps with intact perforations are welcome. Last year TUBFRIM showed a profit of NOK 650,000,-. "This is money (i.e. stamps) rescued from the wastebaskets." TUBFRIM also collects and sells used telephone cards and prepaid cards. New collectors are always welcome.
