two cards for mrs. october

I turned two images from batting practice before the Game 1 of the NLCS into postcards for Mrs. October. Both show Phillies red and Dodgers blue. I particularly liked how the outfield splits down the middle between the two in the top card.

autumn cows

I acquired a trove of postcards on my road trip to Wellsboro yesterday and all were good. This one of cows framed by fall foliage, though, may be my favorite. We saw lots of leaves and lots of cows all day long.

Slovenian postcrosser Alenka sent greetings from her city of Radece, which is "pollution-free and green all around." She hopes it will stay that way.

phillies take the field

The Phillies take the field for yesterday's NLDS game with the Brewers. I took this image from my awesome seat at the very top of the park and made it into a card to send to Mrs. October. She was also in the park but far from where I was sitting.

autumn leaves

Later than ever, but it's again that time of year and I recently made two cards to send to friends in Japan. I used a b&w photo I took a couple of years ago for the bottom one and an old Polaroid shot for the top. State studies show that if the current climate change continues, fall foliage will disappear from Pennsylvania by mid-century. Already we see that the autumn leaves are now more yellow than red.
