My building is in the Garment District of Manhattan - and while I don't work in Fashion, at one time the people in my building did. I have been able to get an up close view of why the industry was called a sweatshop! these are old brick buildings, no ventilation, crappy old windows, rickety stairs ... you'ld think they would have made upgrades, but I guess there is only so much you can do with these old buildings!
