Documentary filmmaker Nanako Kurihara sent a cute email New Year postcard, which she personalized with a note about herself and what she's been doing. With this, I am reminded that in Japan too the traditional 'nengajo' is no doubt disappearing. The handwritten card was already pretty rare when I was living there.
